Keeping a Kid Occupied in their Seat!

Keeping kids entertained is always a challenge, and baseball games are long and can interfere with normal nap time and bed time hours.

Here are some ideas of things to pack to help keep your young child happy through the 9th inning!

Binoculars - Whether you’re sitting right behind home plate or high up in the stands, binoculars can help keep your kid happy AND focused on what’s happening on the field.

Magic Ink Books - These are perfect for entertaining young kids because they are compact and mess free!

Scratch Art - Other than leaving some tiny shavings from the paper, these are pretty mess free and fun for any kid old enough to be trusted with the sharp scratcher.

Magnetic Doodle Pad - A tried but true kid pleaser! Small versions can be found at places like dollar stores.

Water Activity Books - All you’ll need is water to fill the paint brush pens and the hot sun during a summer game will help dry up the pages so your child can do them again and again!

Snacks! - This ones kind of a cheat, but nothing keeps a kid occupied like snacks! While each stadium may have their own rules with bringing in food, i’ve never had an issue with bringing in small snacks for kids. Think a bag of cheerios, goldfish crackers, apple sauce pouches, or raisins.

Best of luck making it through the ball game! Have any go-to tricks for keeping your kids happy in their seats? Share below!
