2017

Happy New Year! 

Thanks for visiting! I'm brand new to this whole blogging thing so I figured I'd start it off with just a quick post.

I started my journey to see all active MLB stadiums about 5 years ago, and as of the end of the 2016 season I'm at 21! Woo! With the pace my fiancé/travel partner and I have been on, we'd be set to finish up our remaining destinations in just the next year or 2.

However with 2017 comes a curveball - A big round belly of a curveball :) We are expecting a baby girl in just 4 short weeks! We are extremely excited for this new chapter and we're (mostly) prepared for the changes that will come with starting a family. Future trips during the 2017 season and beyond will be more sparse and will require much more planning, but it'll also be really exciting to share our journey with our daughter!

Given this new chapter, it also seems like the perfect time to finally get this website off the ground. I've had the idea for Ballparker for years as a way to document my progress and experiences. What better time than New Year's to get moving? (and at about 36 weeks pregnant, any resolution that doesn't require physically moving is a great one!)
